My dream came true this
year when I saw three out of five Mott gigs. You looked and sounded
great! What's happening with the band. Any Glasgow gigs?
Hi Tracie
We saw you perform with Mott, and would love to know if you are planning
to come to the States. Would love to see you perform with your band. How
about a mini tour with you and your dad on the same bill? I think that
there are plenty of venues that you guys would do well in. You could even
share your dad's band to cut down on touring expenses.
I downloaded Race off of iTunes, and am going to purchase the rest of your
stuff off of your website. I think that you are THE up and coming artist
to watch, and I wish you great success. Hope to see you in the states
soon.

Just a quickie to wish you all
a happy & healthy Christmas....oh, am I allowed to call it that? Happy
Holiday maybe? That sounds very USA... I'll stick with Christmas...I am
not religious in the slightest but give me a break? Sometimes, it all goes
too far.
I'm sitting on a train going to Scotland, so beautiful on the East coast,
I forget sometimes.
We are in what I guess you could call pre-production, we've got a ton of
new material & we're recording it all to demo quality to make sure
everything is ready for the real album recording early next year, the
songs are sounding amazing & this band is better than ever, full of
inspiration & passion for the months ahead, we will begin gigging again in
January, Dom our drummer needed to let his foot heal (after an incident
involving a guitar case & his ankle at Dingwalls) so we haven't been
playing much lately, I've really missed it though so am ready to get right
on it next year. If anyone wants to recommend a venue in their town feel
free to send it through, always happy to try new places providing the
sound is good. Venues with decent sound seem to be dying out in favour of
any old pub with a crappy PA & a couple of beer crates trying to make an
extra buck, unbelievable some places putting 8 bands a night on starting
at half six? How effing greedy is that? Too many crap venues but I guess
there are plenty of crap bands to fill them also.
So, another year over & really looking forward to 2010 for so many reasons
not least that we have a shocking new album to deliver & at some point the
world will surely take notice? (hoping that wont be on my gravestone)...
Be good to each other, people often forget to until it's too late & regret
doesn't taste so nice.

THERE’S A curious tainted glow to Screaming Superego; a
first hearing finds it relatively easy listening, yet consecutive plays
intriguingly unveil Tracie’s tangled web of emotions. Some of the lyrics
are almost
a peek into what could be randomly scrawled diary entries,
which ultimately give this collection of heart (and mind!) felt songs
their foundation. A brave and subtle production, too, allowing Tracie’s creamy and emotive vocals to swirl to the fore. Highlights
are the sultry yet unhinged ‘Broken’, and the mysterious and indecisive
‘Save Me’ where our Trace mindfucks with, “ I need for you to leave so I
know that I need you’. Priceless. Like a jar of honey with
a tiny sliver of broken glass lurking somewhere in its contents, Screaming
Superego slides down well, but you better be paying close attention. Mmm.
Ouch.
